Faizah A. Rajput is an artist, designer, & writer from Southern California.

She holds a BA in English Creative Writing from Cal State University San Bernardino and an MFA in Writing from Otis College of Art & Design, where she was in the publishing track and participated in all aspects of book design and publishing, from pre-production through post-production.

In 2019, Faizah was a Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Fellow nominated by Otis College of Art & Design for an AICAD Post-Graduate Teaching Fellowship. She is passionate about art, equality, inclusion, and mentorship.

Recently named to the 2026 909 Books Collective Cohort, Faizah will develop and publish her first book: an experimental memoir-autofiction hybrid, her graduate thesis, “So, Far.”

Beyond memoir, autofiction, and poetry, Faizah crafts narratives built around strong female leads and expansive world-building. Her writing and research explore themes predominantly driven by strong female leads, history, mystery, and gothic horror.

Faizah is also passionate about travel, photography, philosophy, graphic design, music, workshops, and, of course, reading. Many of these interests intersect within her work.

When she’s not creating, Faizah spends her days working on her family's local organic citrus orchard, with her beloved red heeler, Rose.

Faizah is a proud member of PEN AMERICA, AWP, and 909 Books Collective.
